To ensure that guests are provided with the highest quality of food, service and hospitality, Sumibi Kappo Ifuki confirms all allergies, food preferences and requests that guests may have in advance and carefully selects the ingredients, prepares the courses and accommodates special occasions based on the information received in this request for a reservation.

Due to a high volume of requests, limited number of seating and to prevent overlap with other guests looking to make a reservation, Sumibi Kappo Ifukihumbly asks that you secure your reservation by completing payment for your courses in advance. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

We hope you enjoy your meal and that your time and experience at the Sumibi Kappo Ifuki is a truly memorable and special one.

Notice of Temporary Closure Due to Relocation

Thank you very much for your continued patronage of Sumibi Kappo Ifuki.

In preparation for our relocation to a new location, we will conclude operations at our current restaurant on September 14, 2026, and will temporarily close thereafter.

Our new restaurant is scheduled to open in the Gion area, just a short distance from our current location. Details regarding the opening date, address, reservation procedures, and other information will be announced as soon as they are finalized.

We sincerely look forward to welcoming you to our new restaurant, “祇をん いふき (Gion Ifuki).”

  • Please read the cancellation policy stated below. This cancellation policy is absolute. Please be sure to confirm and agree to it before proceeding with your reservation.
  • We are sorry but reservations by a 3rd-party are not accepted due to potential miscommunication regarding allergies etc. You may be denied entry if your reservation is discovered to be a 3rd-party reservation and we are not notified of this in advance. Please include in the comment section if you are making a 3rd-party reservation.
  • If you are more than 15 minutes late, you will be denied entry into the restaurant and no refund will be provided. Please make sure to arrive at the restaurant 5 minutes before the reservation time to be safe.
  • Please refrain from wearing perfume or cologne. If any scent is detected, you will be denied entry into the restaurant and no refund will be provided.
  • If you are running late, please make sure to contact us at contactus@myconciergejapan.com. Please note that the restaurant staff will not be able to attend to phone calls or check emails during their service hours.
  • Due to frequent delays and sudden cancellations of flights and Shinkansen (bullet train) services, we are unable to accept reservations for the same day of arrival to Japan via international flights, as well as long distance domestic travel. We cannot accommodate cancellations or requests to change reservation dates/times due to such reasons, and no refund will be provided for cancellations.
  • We kindly ask guests to refrain from loud conversations or disruptive behavior during their meal or while inside the restaurant. Guests who do not follow this rule may be asked to leave the restaurant. Thank you for your understanding.
You will receive an email once seating availability has been confirmed. Payment for your selected courses via the payment link in the email will be required in order to complete your reservation.
